Mission

The Association for the Defense of the Victims of the Syrian Revolution (ADVR) will work to inform the Syrian people and the world at large of the great price the Syrian people have paid in their fight for freedom and dignity. It will also work to foster a new era of accountability in Syria. The ADVR’s primary constituency will be the Syrian people in its entirety by facilitating a national reconciliation and education process. The ADVR will achieve this by disseminating information to the public to create a public awareness of the shared experience of abuses faced from the regime and during the revolution.

With a board of directors consisting of family members of some of the most famous victims of the Syrian revolution, the ADVR will oversee a number of programs devoted to bringing Syrian regime officials and other perpetrators of grievous human rights violations to justice, informing the Syrian people and the world-at-large of the great price the Syrian people have paid in their fight for freedom and dignity, and fostering a new era of accountability in Syria.
